The funny side of accidents

First, I'm feeling... OK. Still sore but better. I took off this morning but worked in the afternoon and had my hopefully last hospital visit.

Now the funny stuff.

First, this picture. It's like the picture is lying, because:

1. my arm looks worse in real life
2. I'm so darn happy! I don't think I've ever been that happy, much less in a hospital
3. My hair is much longer than that.

Next, on my first visit to the hospital, I was sitting on a bench crying while the lady who hit me filled out the paperwork, and this old lady comes up to me and says, "That looks terrible! Did your husband do that to you?" "No!" "Your boyfriend?" "No!" I told her what happened and she told me to spit on my finger and rub it into my arm- it took me a while to understand that part. Then the lady who hit me was like, Yeah, you should do that! At that point I thought my arm was broken and I really didn't think spit would help it.

As the doctor wrapped up the first visit, the guy wrapping up my arm asked (in Chinese) if I ride my bike to work everyday. I said maybe 3 times a week. He said he thought it was very good exercise. I said I used to think so, too, but today I think it's terrible exercise! Everyone had a good laugh.
