Seriously, people. You know why I came to Taichung of all places in Taiwan? Because the Lonely Planet said it had the best weather and least pollution in Taiwan. And really, I could always comfort myself with the idea that if it was raining in Taichung it was certainly raining in Taipei.
But this is what the weather is like all the time now. In case you're not up on Taiwan geography, Taichung is the county about 1/3 of the way down that's kind of wide east-west and short north-south, with a similarly shaped block (Taichung city) inside. Another way of identifying it is that it's always covered in rain while the rest of the island is dry. To further identify it, you can look for the county that is partly cloudy except for my commute into work in the morning and then all stinking evening every evening.

Also, in case you were wondering, doing a triathlon is not a good way to recover from the common cold. Consider yourself informed.
