"Summer Camp"

So what I'm teaching is my school's optional summer session, which this year is called "Little Boss." Basically they're learning about things like advertising and marketing which is more fun than it sounds.
One hurdle I ran into is that 2 British teachers designed the curriculum, and it's all in British English. So, we were meant to watch some "adverts", which I hadn't pre-screened, and the students were to fill out a worksheet about each one. This first one, when it was over, the kids asked "Teacher, what was it about?" and I said, "I have no idea." We watched it a few more times and eventually I figured out that it was for some sort of beverage. I also had to ask some British teachers if "This sing-song high school isn't about dreams" (the first line) was meant to be a joke. (It is. The whole thing is meant to be a joke.)

Then we've got a pretty inexplicable Mr. T commercial. Sorry, advert. I can understand Mr. T better than I can understand a thick Scottish accent, but the kids were more about the physical humor. Also it's quite funny to see young Taiwanese imitating a speed-walker and shouting mumbles that vaguely resemble Mr. T's (Ah pih a fu is how it came out).
Finally, another British advert- took me a couple of tries to figure out it's about tea, although I still wouldn't stake my life on that...

Now I wonder how the students who have British teacher can ever understand a word I'm saying!
